Description

If the child passes a vision screening, it generally means they aren’t showing any signs of a vision disorder, nor does one seem to be developing. On the other hand, if a child doesn’t pass or doesn’t complete the screening, you have a couple of different options. That’s what we’ll talk about in this module.

Objectives

Once you’ve completed this module, you will be able to:

  • Describe the three possible outcomes of a vision screening and what to do in each case
  • List reasons a child might be considered to be "untestable."
  • Discuss possible alternate screening methods if a child cannot be successfully screened using a particular approach
